Located about 500 kilometers north of Chengdu, the Jiuzhaigou Nature Park, which translates to "Valley of Nine Villages," offers visitors a natural spectacle of crystal-clear lakes, waterfalls, dense forests, and an incredible diversity of flora and fauna. The entire valley is inhabited by Tibetans. Although there are various hiking trails throughout the park, it is recommended to use one of the park buses for part of your journey.
In 1992, UNESCO included the park on its list of World Natural Heritage sites.
