The highest peak in the world, Qomolangma, rises to 8848.13 m in the central Himalayas on the border between China and Nepal. In its vicinity, there are four more peaks over 8,000 m and 38 peaks over 7,000 m in height. Some tour operators offer overnight stays at the Mount Everest Base Camp on their tours.
