Longsheng, a small town in the northern part of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in southern China, is famous for its terraced rice fields and the unique customs of the ethnic minorities living there. Particularly impressive are the rice fields, which are cultivated up to an altitude of 880 meters. It is recommended to take time for a short hike through the rice terraces and to stay overnight in one of the minority guesthouses.
