Since 1985, the International Ice Sculpture Festival has been one of the main attractions in the snowy province of Heilongjiang. Not only a growing number of visitors, especially from the warm south of China, but also increasingly more foreign tourists admire the sculptures crafted by talented artists from around the world. Over 2,000 exhibited objects made of ice and snow come in various sizes, some even reaching the dimensions of buildings. Additionally, there are ice slides, ice bars, and ice restaurants. Harbin's cold climate, with temperatures dropping to minus 40 degrees, ensures that the sculptures remain well-preserved.
