Mount Huashan is one of the five sacred mountains near the county seat of Huayin. The mountain is famous for its steep, picturesque cliffs and perilous paths leading to its peaks. With several peaks reaching up to 2100 meters connected by mountain paths, Huashan offers a unique hiking experience (requiring a head for heights).
Along the trails, visitors encounter monasteries, pagodas, temples, bridges, and gates. In ancient Chinese cosmology, which viewed the Middle Kingdom as a square, Mount Huashan represents the western corner mountain.
