The Palace of the Queen of Heaven (Tianhou gong), situated at the confluence of the Hai River and the Emperor Canal, was established in the year 1326 during the Yuan Dynasty and expanded under subsequent dynasties. It is the oldest building in Tianjin. In the side halls, there is an exhibition showcasing local craftsmanship. The courtyard of the complex hosts a regionally significant temple fair.
