Sanqing Shan is a famous mountain in Taoism and is considered one of the 72 blessed places. The Taoist Ge Hong meditated in Sanqing Shan and made immortality pills here.
The highest peak of the mountain is 1817 meters above sea level. Within this relatively small area, Sanqing Shan offers a diverse landscape. Forested areas alternate with bare rocks.
Particularly noteworthy are the column-like rock formations, which often resemble the silhouettes of people or animals and are referred to as natural sculptures. The unpredictable weather also contributes to the beauty of the landscape, often creating an almost surreal atmosphere with fog or low-hanging clouds.
