A must-visit is the St. Paul's Ruins. Though only the staircase and facade of the former church remain, the church symbolizes the history of Christianization in Asia. The rest of the building and the Jesuit college were destroyed in the great fire of 1835. The former crypt of the church now houses a museum of sacred artifacts, including paintings by Japanese artists from the 17th century.
