Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport is the largest airport in Chongqing and was the second most busy in China in 2022. In 2017 and 2018, it was internationally recognized as one of the best airports in the world and was further expanded with the newly opened Terminal 3B. Over the past decade, the airport has significantly increased its direct flights to many European hubs and serves as a hub for many Chinese airlines, including China Southern, China Express Airlines, and Chongqing Airlines.
Subway lines 3 and 10 connect the airport to the city center or Chongqingbei Railway Station in just 50 minutes. Additionally, with the opening of the new station in 2022, high-speed trains now also stop at the airport. There are also many bus lines in service.
